I operate Mary Market Designs during my ‘off’ hours as a freelance consultant, graphic designer, and web technologist. I am always looking for new opportunities and build new relationships with clients.

A Bit O' History

During the 1980's, I worked closely with the Newberg Chamber of Commerce and local businesses as a freelance artist. I did a variety of graphic endeavors including performing window dressings, window art, commercial print publications, and newspaper ads. I also created political literature for a local candidate during one campaign. During this time I also worked as a commercial artist and pre-press technician in the newspaper, print, and publishing business.

I went back to college in the 1990's to continue my design and technical education. I taught art, graphic communications, publications (yearbook and journalism), and other creative electives at the junior high and high school level for 7 years.

In 2000, I was recruited to software engineering. A parent of former students was managing a very large group of software engineers at Credence Systems Corporation. He brought me in as a software engineering technician. I built and managed the software engineering intranet during my time at Credence. I later was promoted to Project Manager for the Software Engineering Release Department. I pursued a software engineering degree until the internet and web swept me away to web design and information technology. My technical background is very useful in web development.
