If your project is expected to develop over a period of months, your payments can be divided by the number of months of the project length. I can also spread your project out to accommodate your budget. Established clients with prompt payment history may be offered less restrictive payment plans.
5% discount is offered if estimate for services is deposited in full upon commencement of project. Funds are held in deposit until used. Any amount of estimate not used upon completion is returned in full.
Projects usually require an approved proposal that reflects an estimated hourly rate for services. Most charges fall between $50 and $80 per hour. A simple 5 page website with minimal changes to a pre-designed template will fall into the range of $300-$500. A custom website will fall between $500-$1000. Video and Flash animations add extra costs to a pre-designed or custom website as they are labor intensive.
Content Management Systems and eCommerce sites usually come with simple front-end browser editing. While up front costs are higher, these systems offer reduced long term costs if content is managed by your business. Costs of developing Content Management Systems and eCommerce websites will vary extensively depending upon the number of sections, categories, products, images, and sales attributes. Most systems will run in the range of $1500-$6000 at completion.
I also offer hosting plans that include search engine optimization, website monitoring, domain name and fee renewal management, security certificates, and payment processing. Plans vary and do not include all listed services. I've found it best when possible to teach my clients how to manage their own web affairs at considerable savings.
Things happen beyond my control. I try to help you prepare for those things, but fair is fair. I work for a fee and need to be paid. As a result, I work by contract so there are no misunderstandings. Our contract will be negotiated using the above expectations as a starting point.
Some hosting companies provide out-of-the-box web sites. What they don't tell you is that these require you to actually input the content manually, one text box at a time. They are very time consuming to build, and they may not provide you with a suitable design or color scheme for your particular business. A Content Management System may be what you need to manage your own content.
